Brown Sugar....

I Remember....

The 1st time i feel in love with Hip-Hop was Jay-Zs' Reasonable Doubt (that was in 1996 so I was like 13 years old) i asked my brother "who is this dude" he said i just know him through some freestyles and being around Biggie (he was HUGE fan of B.I.G) So I can say that was when i really feel in love....After that i got more into the underground MC's...since than i just been lovin' music...

Lyrical Monster

Lupe Fiasco Is Here...

He came back, in the same suit that he was buried in
Similar to the one his grandfather was married in
Yes, he was still fresh to death
Bling, two earrings, a chain layin on his chest
He still had it 'cause they couldn't find it
And the bullets from his enemies sat like two inches behind it
Smelled the Hennessy from when his niggaz got reminded
And poured out liquor in his memory, he didn't mind it
But he couldn't sip it fast enough
So the liquor was just fillin the casket up
Floatin down by his feet was the letter from his sister
Second grade handwritin simply read "I miss ya"
Suit jacket pocket held his baby daughter's picture
Right next to it, one of his mans stuck a swisher
He had a notion as he laid there soakin
He saw that the latch was broken
He kicked his casket open and he

This life goes passin you by
It might go fast if you like
You born, you lived, and you die, oh oh ohoh
If life goes passin you by
Don't cry
If you're breaking the rules, making your moves, paying your dues
Chasing the cool

Not at all nervous as he dug to the surface
Tarnished gold chain is what he loosened up the earth with
He used his mouth as a shovel to try and hollow it
And when he couldn't dirt-spit, he swallowed it
Workin like a, hmm, reverse archeaologist
Except, his buried treasure was sunshine
So when some shine through a hole that he had drove
It reflected off the gold and almost made son blind
He grabbed onto some grass and climbed
Pulled himself up out of his own grave, and looked at the time
On the watch that had stopped 6 months after the shots
That'd got him in the box, ringin Henny out his socks
Figured it was hours because he wasn't older
Used some flowers to brush the dirt up off his shoulder
So, with a right hand that was all bones
And with no reason to stay he decided to walk home so he

This life goes passin you by
It might go fast if you like
You born, you lived, and you die, oh oh ohoh
If life goes passin you by
Don't cry
If you're breaking the rules, making your moves, paying your dues
Chasing the cool

He begged for some change to get him on the train
"Damn, that nigga stank," is what they complained
Tried to light the blunt, but it burst into flames
Caught the reflection in the window of what he became
A long look, wasn't shook, wasn't ashamed
Matter of fact, only thing on his brain was brains
Yeah, and gettin back in his lane, doin his thang
First he had to find something to slang
Next stop was his block, it had the same cops
Walked right past the same spot where he was shot, shocked
that some little niggaz tried to sell him rocks
It just felt weird, bein on the opposite
They figured that he wasn't from there so they pulled out
And robbed him, with the same gun they shot him with
Put it to his head and said, "You're scared, ain'tcha?"
He said, "Hustler for death, no heaven for a gangsta" and

It might go fast if you like
You born, you lived, and you die, oh oh ohoh
If life goes passin you by

If you're breaking the rules, making your moves, paying your dues

HIP-HOP

Where It All Began

It all began in the Sedgwick Avenue & Cedar Park section of the Bronx,New York City. This thing called Hip-Hop.

It was August 11,1973.DJ Kool Herc extended the break beat and began rockin' the party in the small Rec Room at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue. That night would change the WORLD FOREVER.

Legendary tales of DJs,MCs,B-Boys and Graffiti Artist spread throughout the 5 boroughs. Party shouts,hot-wired street lamps, battles and tagging were BORN.

DJ Kool Herc could not contain this thing he had created.Soon the party was taken outside from 1520 Sedgwick Ave. & down the block to Cedar Park.

From the depths of the ghetto,hip-hop was BORN,EMBRACED,NEVER to be STOPPED & would go on to CONQUER the WORLD.

So scared of gettin older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game
to find a way to say that
Life has just begun
Had a talk with my old man
Said help me understand
He said turn 68
You'll renegotiate
Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
Dont think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly
We'll never stop this train

Hurt Me Soulll.....

this one right here
huh deticate this one right here
to everybody out there
ye dig
uhuh check it out

Now I ain't tryna be the greatest

I used to hate hip-hop... yup, because the women degraded
But Too $hort made me laugh, like a hypocrite I played it
A hypocrite I stated, though I only recited half
Omittin the word "bitch," cursin I wouldn't say it
Me and dog couldn't relate, til a bitch I dated
Forgive my favorite word for hers and hers alike
But I learnt it from a song I heard and sorta liked
Yeah, for the icin, glamorized drug dealin was appealin
But the block club kept it from in front of our buildin
Gangsta rap-based filmings became the buildin blocks
For children with leakin ceilings catchin drippins with pots
Coupled with compositions from Pac, Nas's "It Was Written"
In the mix with my realities and feelings
Living conditions, religion, ignorant wisdom and artistic vision
I began to jot, tap the world and listen, it drop

My mom can't feed me, my boyfriend beats me
I have sex for money, the hood don't love me
The cops wanna kill me, this nonsense built me
And I got noooo place to gooo
They bomb my village, they call us killers
Took me off they welfare, can't afford they health care
My teacher won't teach me, my master beats me
And it huuurts meee soooul

I had a ghetto boy bop, a Jay-Z boycott
'Cause he said that he never prayed to God, he prayed to Gotti
I'm thinkin godly, God guard me from the ungodly
But by my 30th watchin of "Streets is Watchin"
I was back to givin props again and that was botherin
By this uncomfortable as a untouchable touchin you
The theme songs that niggas hustle to seem wrong but these songs was comin true
And it was all becoming cool
I found a condom on the ground that Johns would cum into and thought
What constitutes a prostitute is the pursuit of profit then they drop it
The homie in a suit pat her on the butt, then rock it
It seems I was seein the same scene adopted
Prevalent in different things with the witnesses indifferent to stop it
They said don't knock it, mind ya business
His business isn't mine and that nigga pimpin got it

They took my daughter, we ain't got no water
I can't get hired, they cross on fire
We all got suspended, I just got sentenced
So I got noooo place to gooo
They threw down my gang sign, I ain't got no hang time
They talk about my sneakers, poisoned our leader
My father ain't seen me, turn off my TV
'Cause it huuurts meee soooul

So through the Grim Reaper sickle sharpening
Macintosh marketing
Oil field augering
Brazilian adolescent disarmament
Israeli occupation
Islamic martyrdom, precise
Yeah, laser guided targeting
Oil for food, water, and terrorist organization harborin
Sand camouflage army men
CCF sponsorin, world conquerin, telephone monitorin
Louis Vuitton modelin, pornographic actress honorin
String theory ponderin, bullimic vomitin
Catholic priest fondlin, pre-emptive bombin and Osama and no bombin them
They breakin in my car again, deforestation and overloggin and
Hennessy and Hypnotic swallowin, hydroponic coughin and
All the world's ills, sittin on chrome 24-inch wheels, like that

They say I'm infected, this is why I injected
I had it aborted, we got deported
My laptop got spyware, they say that I can't lie here
But I got noooo place to gooo
I can't stop eatin, my best friend's leavin
My pastor touched me, I love this country
I lost my earpiece, I hope y'all hear me
'Cause it huuurts meee soooul
