Where It All Began

It all began in the Sedgwick Avenue & Cedar Park section of the Bronx,New York City.This thing called Hip-Hop.

It was August 11,1973.DJ Kool Herc extended the break beat and began rockin' the party in the small Rec Room at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue.That night would change the WORLD FOREVER.

Legendary tales of DJs,MCs,B-Boys and Graffiti Artist spread throughout the 5 boroughs. Party shouts,hot-wired street lamps,battles and tagging were BORN.

DJ Kool Herc could not contain this thing he had created.Soon the party was taken outside from 1520 Sedgwick Ave. & down the block to Cedar Park.

From the depths of the ghetto,hip-hop was BORN,EMBRACED,NEVER to be STOPPED & would go on to CONQUER the WORLD.
